At Schneider Rasche LLC, we are dedicated to helping our clients find an estate plan that will best fit their unique circumstances. Our Law Firm provides public educational estate planning workshops, without charge, so that people can make better, more well-educated decisions about estate planning.  We know that you may have questions about what to do in your particular situation after attending one of our workshops.  For that reason we offer to all attendees a complimentary one hour initial consultation to analyze their situation and make planning suggestions.  Click here to find a workshop near you, or call (503) 241-1215.

ESTATE PLANNING SERVICES

A comprehensive approach is key to making an effective estate plan. What does that mean? It means that at our Law Firm, we create plans that cover not only end of life, but also possible incapacity, health care decisions and, in appropriate cases, asset protection. A typical living trust plan consists of several legal documents, including a living trust agreement, pour over will, property power of attorney, healthcare advance directive and other legal documents.

A typical will plan also consists of several documents, including a last will and testament, property power of attorney, healthcare advance directive and other documents that may be beneficial if one becomes incapacitated or passes away.

Our experienced attorneys are available to advise you with respect to the estate planning issues most relevant to you.  Find out more in our FAQ's section.

ASSET PROTECTION & BUSINESS PLANNING

Small business owners and owners of rental real estate are especially susceptible to lawsuits.  We can help build a plan designed to protect you and your business. That plan may involve the use of one or more limited liability companies, corporations or other legal entities to reduce exposure to liability.

FAMILY-OWNED FARMS & RANCHES

Owning a farm or ranch creates its own set of unique circumstances. Many families wish to pass on their farm or ranch to the next generation, but are unable to do so. Advance planning will give you the best chance of making a successful transition to the next generation.

INCAPACITY PLANNING

No one enjoys contemplating their possible incapacity. While your incapacity may seem unlikely, the reality is that thousands of people become incapacitated every year. Incapacity can occur as a consequence of dementia, another disease or an accident. Incapacity is not limited to any particular age group. A prudent estate plan includes incapacity planning.

PET PLANNING

You no doubt view your pet as part of your family. At Schneider Rasche LLC, we can help create an estate plan that includes your pets and provides for their care even if you are not able to care for them.

SPECIAL NEEDS PLANNING

Many families have a loved one who has a disability and is receiving government benefits or may need them in the future.  We can help build an estate plan that includes special needs provisions so that your loved one can receive an inheritance without losing their government benefits.

TRUST ADMINISTRATION & PROBATE

One of the principal reasons for creating an estate plan is to direct the distribution of your assets to your loved ones or others after you pass away.  When that distribution occurs, it very often involves a trust administration or probate or both. Trusts are generally administered privately without court involvement, which is one of the reasons many people choose trust planning.  Wills are settled through the probate process, which requires court involvement and the services of an attorney.  Our law firm provides professional services for both trust administrations and probates.

Schneider Rasche LLC has attorneys licensed in both Oregon and Washington that are experienced in Estate Planning. Call us at (503) 241-1215 or contact us online to get started on your own estate plan.
